Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Shine Mentoring Service
 are looking for  people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our SHINE  mentoring service, which is managed by TPS 218 service.

This is a Lead Practitioner position, due to the nature of this post, there will be significant travel involved therefore a driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this post.

SHINE is a national mentoring service for women involved within the justice service across Scotland.

The service is a Public Social Partnership (PSP) a strategic partnership between public and voluntary sector organisations, Sacro is the lead partner. SHINE was launched in April 2013 supporting woman on a community payback order or at risk of breaching.

Mentoring is a way of helping and supporting woman to achieve their goals. The  service provides women with a mentor who will provide  1-2-1 individual support to enable her to engage in her justice order and for her to move forward within her recovery.

We require a self-motivated, hardworking individual who is able to motivate and inspire change in others.  Doing so, by working alongside women, co-ordinating and delivering outcome focussed support, tailored to individual needs.  Offering a variety of interventions in partnership with statutory and third sector colleagues, promoting the well-being of women. Whilst providing detailed assessments, risk assessment and robust risk management planning, along with complex case management and representation within multiagency meetings. The successful candidate will be required to work in a prison environment and in the community, therefore knowledge and experience of working within a prison establishment would also be an advantage.

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
