Where there is a requirement to work sleepover shifts, you will earn an extra £84.80 for each shift worked!

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Dumfries & Galloway are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. 

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Kirkcudbright are looking for Full and Part-Time Support Practitioners.

When you work with us, we support you Because You Matter. 

We work a 37-hour working week, not a 40-hour week.  In addition, we pay you for your work travel time and the costs for public transport or if you have a car, we pay 45p per mile, so you are not out of pocket.

Our services in the Kirkcudbright area are well regarded and we have a waiting list for people to be supported by us.  We retrain our staff and have numerous benefits including full sick pay, not just SSP, which increases with length of service. In addition, as one of our Support Practitioners, you will have 35 days every year as holidays/public holidays.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes. The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

Stewartry Support Service

Provides support to vulnerable adults with learning and physical disabilities alongside other lifelong conditions. Our service principal is to promote independence, choice and to work with the people we support to enable them to lead the life they choose. We support people to access everyday life experiences including holidays, education, employment and social activities as well as providing support to sustain and develop relationships alongside skills for everyday living including budgeting, personal care and domestic skills for the person to maintain their own home.
