Key accountabilities/tasks:

1. Food Preparation

To prepare a range of food as required by customer demand.  To present and serve food according to legislative and business requirements.  To ensure that all standards of food preparation and presentation are met and maintained.  To follow all stock control procedures, and contribute to the planning and preparation of food and menus.

2. Customer Service

To serve customers in the cafe, both eating in and take away.  To take orders from customers in person and by telephone.  To contribute to the planning and preparation of food (in particular buffets and sandwich lunches) to meet these requirements.  To respond positively to customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of high quality food products.

3. Team Working

To work with the catering team, and under the guidance and instruction of the catering supervisor, to ensure the best quality products, and to ensure that all standards of food preparation are met consistently and according to agreed procedures.
