Life is better with someone who cares.

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Bridge of Weir are looking for Full and Part-Time Support Practitioners.

Our beautiful detached house is home to 4 larger than life men, that need a little support with the daily tasks that are required by us all.  It might be helping out with the everyday tasks that we all require to do such as managing finances, prompting, encouragement and administer medication as well as help around the home.  When the daily chores are done our Service Users like to relax and would love you to accompany for nice meal out, or for an ice cream by the sea in Largs on a warm day.   You will also support them to attend their weekly clubs which include art, drama boccia and a music group, all of which are great fun and an opportunity to let your hair down, go with the flow and laugh the working day away. You may even have an opportunity to support someone on a lovely holiday.

Could you make someone’s day in Bridge of Weir a little easier?  The people who use our services need support 24 hours a day.  This will require you to be available for various shifts and sleepovers. We work a 37-hour working week, not a 40-hour week.  We appreciate your time so we pay an additional £84.80 per sleepover shift.  When you use your car for work purposes, we pay you for your work travel time and the costs for public transport or if you have a car, we pay 45p per mile.

Being the largest learning disability services provider in Scotland with a large staff team allows us the pleasure of implementing our award-winning family friendly policies allowing us to offer flexible working to suit you work/life balance.   We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.  Coupled with our generous annual leave package you can enjoy an excellent work/life balance.

Our services in Bridge of Weir are well regarded and we have a waiting list for people to be supported by us.  Why? Because we retain our staff and have numerous benefits including a staff discount card, a welcome gift and 35 days annual leave including public holidays and statutory days. We have award winning family friendly policies and forums designed to support our staff.
