Our Turning Point Scotland Services in FHOSS North are looking for  people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. 

FHOSS North West is a commissioned service working in partnership with Glasgow City Council, to support people who are over 16 years old, who are homeless and/ or at risk of homelessness.  The service provides support to people in the North West of the city and beyond, in line with allocation of Temporary accommodation.  The Service operated 365 days per year.

FHOSS North West have three sites across the north west of Glasgow, and are based in Scotstoun, Maryhill and Firhill.  The Service Manager is based in our central hub within the Scotstoun office.  The Service Manager is responsible for the overall service, including quality assurance, recruitment of staff and service development.  Each Site is managed by a service coordinator, supported by two Assistant Service Coordinators and a staff team of Support Practitioners.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
