Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Shine
are looking for  people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. 

This is a Public Social Partnership (PSP) which is a collaborative partnership consisting of eight third sector organisations including Turning Point Scotland currently funded by the Scottish Government and lead by SACRO.

You will be employed by Turning Point Scotland and  will work as a SHINE mentor, you will be based and work within Glasgow city providing a mentoring service to women within the justice system.

This service currently works from Monday to Friday 9-5 pm, this can change due to the needs of the woman. Therefore a degree of flexibility is essential.

This is a lone working post, support and training will be provided

You will provide intensive support to women who use this service, currently serving a prison sentence; remanded into custody or subject of a Community Payback Order and who choose to engage and work with Shine Women’s Mentoring Service


The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
